What should I do if I have one of these bars on my bike?

We realize this is inconvenient for you, and we’re truly sorry to put you to the trouble. But it’s better to be safe than sorry. That’s why we’ve put this voluntary recall program in place, so you can get going again on the bike with the least disruption to your cycling plans.
All qualifying owners can get a replacement grip kit free of charge to. Owners can install the new grips themselves, or take their bike to a 3T dealer to fit them. Owners do not have to pay the dealer for carrying out this work.

I haven’t noticed any problems with my bars, do I still have to the grips replaced?
If you have bars with grips like those in Figure 1 you need to have the grips replaced. The problem with the grips cannot be seen externally. There is no advance warning and no way to know when the old grip might slip.
How can I tell if the problem has already been corrected on my VENTUS aerobars?
If you see a bump or "bulb" on the underside and at the top of the front of the grip (see Figure 2), your bars have been repaired.
I bought my VENTUS in a different country or through an internet retailer – do I have to get the grip kit from them?
